Every year, Geelong Sustainability organises a one-day event, where house owners open the door to the public to showcase a wide range of sustainable features in their properties. The event is co-sponsored by City of Greater Geelong and is a valuable resource for anyone looking for inspiration, ideas and the key to sustainable living.

In May 2018, Geelong Media took on the assignment to create awareness about the Sustainable House Day event which was coming up on Sunday 14 October 2018. We delivered a campaign consisting of five short and inspirational videos, a plan for social media and two live Facebook broadcastings on the day.

Geelong Sustainability had a record year with 2,300 visits to the 13 open houses, and the numbers for Geelong Media’s social media campaign also broke all previous records.

The first video, which we posted one month prior to the event, was viewed by 8,300 people and was visited by 235 people, and the fifth video, posted three days before the event, was seen by 5,500 people and visited by 260 people.
